The Dream of Horses began as a collaboration between two artists (Judy Murphy and Pep Tassies) in 2022. They have carved their style in the alternative folk genre, captivating audiences with their unifying harmonies, intricate melodies, string resonance and awe striking lyrics. Written by Judy Murphy, the lyrics explore poetry, subconscious power, dreamscapes and connectivity: dancing through themes of mystery, retrospection, love and loss.“Journey Back” is the first studio album from the alternative folk band “The Dream of Horses” (Judy Murphy, Pep Tassies). After playing together for years the abundance of songs naturally made way to their first studio album. the album captures the raw voice and delicate lyrics of Judy Murphy complemented by aching harmonies by Pep. The album weaves from pop anthems to songs of vulnerability to folk landscapes which make this album a pleasure to listen to. The album explores themes of bravery, loss, love and the mystery of life. A true synergy between these two musicians is heard and is complemented by the renowned drummer Pepe Soler who intricately guides and adds dimension to the acoustic songs. The musicians display their profound musicality- composing and playing every line of music themselves from double pass to violins.Judy Murphy hails from Muskerry, Co.
